Relations between the two countries have been strained after US President Joe Biden swore at Russian President Vladimir Putin in a speech.
“As soon as the Foreign Ministry started working this morning, it sent a strong note of protest to the US State Department over the outrageous nature and unacceptability of the US leadership’s insults against the Russian President,” Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said in a statement, announcing that they had sent a note of protest to the US.

Antonov also criticized Biden’s speech and said, “Obviously, rude and blasphemous statements do not serve to strengthen strategic security, which is so necessary for the world in today’s historical conditions.”
Biden curses Putin
At a fundraiser in San Francisco, California, Biden expressed concern about the possibility of nuclear conflict due to some leaders. Stating that Putin is a “crazy person”, Biden used a heavy expression against Putin and cursed him.
Biden later said that the existential threat to humanity was “climate”.
Kremlin reaction
Kremlin’s reaction to Biden’s words against Putin was not delayed, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a statement, “Did Putin ever use a rude word when addressing you? He did not. That’s why I think such expressions humiliate the U.S. Such words damage the reputation of those who use them.”
