Russian President Putin and Azerbaijani President Aliyev to meet in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Moscow next week.

According to a Kremlin statement, Putin will meet with Aliyev, who will arrive in the Russian capital Moscow on April 22 for official talks.

During the meeting, the main issues of further development of Russia-Azerbaijan strategic partnership and alliance relations will be discussed.

The two leaders will exchange views on current regional issues.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the start of construction of the Baikal-Amur railway line, Putin and Aliyev will meet with railway workers.

According to the Kremlin, Heydar Aliyev, the father of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, oversaw the construction of this road in the past.
