Trump: Send the National Guard to Texas
Another support for Texas came from the strongest Republican presidential candidate, former US President Donald Trump.
Trump called on all states to send their national guardsmen to Texas.
He stated that the southern border of the United States must be protected from illegal immigrants.
The Governor of Texas also announced that the state’s National Guard continued to operate in the region.
He announced that 10 Republican states have sent national guardsmen to the region for support.
Governor Abbott also said they were prepared to confront federal authorities.
