A helicopter belonging to the US army crashed on the Mexican border, killing 3 soldiers and injuring one.
In a statement made by the US Northern Joint Task Forces, it was reported that the “UH-72 Lakota” model helicopter crashed near Rio Grade City in the state of Texas during a border security mission yesterday.
In the statement, it was stated that an investigation was launched into the cause of the accident, in which 2 National Guardsmen and 1 border patrol personnel lost their lives and 1 soldier was injured.
Judge Eloy Vera of Starr District, where Rio Grade City is located, noted that the condition of the injured soldier was serious.
