Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed military celebrations in Moscow’s Red Square today to mark Victory Day, the 78th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
In his speech, Putin said the world was at a “turning point” and accused Western countries of plotting war against Russia, Sarkh al-Awsat reported, citing Reuters.
Addressing thousands of Russian military and political elites gathered to commemorate the victory over Nazism in 1945, Putin said, “Today civilization is again at a decisive turning point. A real war has been launched against our homeland.”
