The Russian Foreign Ministry retaliated against Canada’s continued sanctions against Russia. In the newly announced decisions, sanctions were imposed on 100 Canadian citizens.
Among the 100 names, it drew attention that world-famous movie actor Jim Carrey was among them. Jim Carrey was also banned from entering Russia.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has decided to sanction 100 Canadian citizens, including movie actor Jim Carrey. The ministry said in a written statement that Canada continues to impose sanctions against Russian government, business, environmental and cultural representatives, politicians, MPs and experts.
RETALIATION FROM RUSSIA
In response, 100 Canadians were placed on the sanctions list and banned from entering Russia, the statement said.
The list includes high-ranking Canadian officials, as well as businesspeople, activists, and representatives of the media and financial institutions.
Famous movie actor Jim Carrey is also on the sanctions list.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on November 11 that 200 US citizens were also placed on the sanctions list and banned from entering the country.
