It was announced that White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield has given up her decision to leave her post and will continue her job.
According to the news reflected in the American press, White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield decided to keep her post after US President Joe Biden and White House Chief of Staff Ronald Klain asked her to stay on.
In an email to his office staff about his decision, Bedingfield said, “After much thought and deliberation, I have decided to stay. My work here is still not finished and we have much more to do with you.”
Bedingfield underlined that today is normally his last day in the White House and that he made this decision at the last minute, and announced that he will take a vacation next month, but then he will return to work.
He was due to leave the White House at the end of July
“Bedingfield, a longtime trusted aide to President Joe Biden and a senior strategist in both his campaign and administration, will leave the White House at the end of July to spend more time with his wife and young children,” the White House said in a statement released on July 6.
Bedingfield, who would normally leave his post on July 22, extended his duty to July 29 as a result of Biden’s COVID-19 outbreak.
