Taylor Swift is gearing up for the release of her latest album. While accepting the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Midnights” (her 13th win overall), Swift surprised fans with the announcement of her upcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” set to be released on April 19. During her acceptance speech, Swift expressed her gratitude to the fans and revealed the secret she had been keeping for the past two years.

“So, I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19, and it’s called ‘The Tortured Poets Department,'” Swift shared.

As she concluded her speech, Swift promised to unveil the album art as she left the stage, and true to her word, she did. The caption accompanying the post on social media read, “All’s fair in love and poetry…” Additionally, the second slide featured an envelope with poignant words about the album:

“And so I enter into evidence
My tarnished coat of arms
My muses, acquired like bruises
My talismans and charms
The tick,
tick,
tick
of love bombs
My veins of pitch black ink
All’s fair in love and poetry…
Sincerely,
The Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department”
