Casualties in the region increased with the raids of the Israeli army

On February 22, Israeli forces raided Nablus, located in the north of the occupied West Bank, from several points, escalating tensions in the region again.

Surrounding a house in the historic Old City area of Nablus, Israeli soldiers intervened with live bullets against Palestinians protesting the raid, killing 11 Palestinians, including a child and two elderly people, and wounding more than 100 Palestinians, 6 of them seriously.

Following the bloody raid in Nablus, 2 Jewish settlers were killed in an armed attack in the town of Huwwara on February 26.

After the incident, hundreds of fanatical Jews raided Huwwara under the supervision of the Israeli army and carried out “mass revenge” attacks against Palestinians. Settlers set fire to dozens of homes, businesses and vehicles in the town, injured some Palestinians in a lynching attempt, and killed 1 Palestinian.

Since the beginning of the year, 78 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed in attacks by the Israeli army and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank.
