Konashenkov stated that the Russian military continued attacks on military elements in Ukraine and claimed that the Ukrainian army suffered “serious” losses.

Claiming that the 37th battalion of the 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost its fighting capability, Konashenkov stated that more than 80 Ukrainian soldiers were neutralized and 50 soldiers were wounded near the settlements of Bila Krinitsya and Velike Artakove.

Konashenkov said, “In the city of Kharkiv, the center where foreign mercenaries were temporarily stationed was hit from the ground with high-precision weapons. More than 90 militants were destroyed.”

Stating that about 60 soldiers and 8 special vehicles were destroyed in the attack on the temporary positions of the 28th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army in the Mykolaiv region, Konashenkov claimed that more than 250 Ukrainian soldiers were neutralized in the Donetsk region.

Konashenkov stated that 5 administrative centers, 3 ammunition depots and 10 unmanned aerial vehicles were hit in the last 24 hours and said, “To date, 267 aircraft, 148 helicopters, 1757 unmanned aerial vehicles, 366 air defense missile systems, 4,340 tanks and armored vehicles, 800 multi-barrel rocket launchers, 3,312 howitzers and mortars and 4,938 private military vehicles have been destroyed in Ukraine.”

Alleged provocation against Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant

Claiming that the Kiev administration will take provocative actions against the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant on August 19 during the visit of United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres to Ukraine, Konashenkov said, “As a result of this provocation, Russia will be accused of creating a disaster at the plant.”
