The show, a Breaking Bad spin-off, followed the career and downfall of sleazy attorney Jimmy “Saul Goodman” McGill (Bob Odenkirk).

The final episode, titled “Saul Gone,” debuted on Netflix in the UK the morning after it aired on AMC in the US on Monday, August 15.

You have been forewarned that the Better Call Saul conclusion contains spoilers.

After Marion rumbled his true identity, Jimmy is eventually captured by law officials in “Saul Gone” (Carol Burnett).

He is able to arrange a plea agreement that would result in merely seven years in prison by outlining the terrible circumstances of how he first met Walter White (Bryan Cranston), which included being kidnapped and intimidated in front of an open grave.

He ultimately decides to fully confess to his misdeeds, though, when he appears in court in front of a throng that includes Kim (Rhea Seehorn) and Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt).

In the last scene of the episode, Jimmy is given a visit from Kim while serving a life sentence in prison. Before she departs, they smoke together, with Jimmy appearing content with his sentence.

On social media, viewers expressed their opinions about the program, many of whom described it as “devastating.”

The very last scene received accolades from others, with several characterizing it as “beautiful.”

“They accomplished it. They failed to land,” one poster stated. “It was flawless. absolutely ideal I started crying after that last scene. Because this great series has ended and because it was such a painful moment.

Someone else called it “a wonderful ending and a perfect closing scene.”

“I’m feeling really sensitive right now. THAT WAS JUST PERFECT! The smoking scene. Another individual exclaimed, “I cried!”

“Who else is just weeping? So well done,” one viewer wrote. “I think it stuck the landing.”

After the finale aired, Odenkirk shared a video message with fans of the series.

Better Call Saul can be streamed in the UK on Netflix.
