Google announced that the App Permissions tab, which it decided to remove, will return after the reactions.

Mobile devices, which are indispensable in daily life, are a safe that contains important and personal data. However, there are some malicious people who try to infiltrate this vault and capture data. Today, there are hundreds of applications that secretly host trojans and jeopardize the security of users.

Such software somehow manages to pass the controls and get listed in app stores such as the Play Store. Google also made some changes in May and announced that the Data Security feature would replace the App Permissions tab that had been in use for a while. However, the company decided to take a step back after the reactions.

Google will bring back the App Permissions tab

App Permissions used to be a handy tool that users checked before installing an app on their phone. Thanks to the feature created automatically with tools developed by Google, we could examine the applications and see what permissions they needed.

Google decided to remove the tab on the grounds that it was not enough and replace it with the Data Security feature introduced in May. In the new function, data is prepared by app developers and the company has even given developers a deadline to provide the necessary information.
The fact that developers will prepare the information in the Data Security feature did not go down well with users. The company has been the focus of criticism and analysts have highlighted the potential for security issues. -Despite Google’s announcement that it will penalize developers who provide false information

According to the latest information, Google listened to the reactions from users and took a step back. In its statement, the company announced that the removed tab will come back based on the feedback. However, no exact date or time frame was given here. It should also be noted that the Data Security function will not be removed.
