Stirring audio recording: Putin, blood cancer?

Regarding Sweden and Finland’s NATO membership, Russian President Vladimir Putin said: “There used to be no threat to them. Now, if military units and infrastructure are deployed there, we will be forced to respond and create a similar threat to their territory.”

Putin urges countries to normalize relations

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Sweden and Finland decided to join NATO. After the NATO Summit held in Madrid, the capital of Spain, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a statement that alarmed the world. Stating that there was no threat to them in the past, Putin said, “Now, if military units and infrastructure are deployed there, we will be forced to respond and create a similar threat to their territory.”

“WE HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT”

Russian President Vladimir Putin answered journalists’ questions after the 6th Summit of Leaders of the Caspian Sea Countries hosted by Turkmenistan in the capital Ashgabat.

Evaluating the trilateral memorandum between Turkey-Sweden-Finland, Putin stated that Russia has no problems with Sweden and Finland and said, “We have neither territorial problems nor disagreements. There is nothing to worry us about Finland and Sweden’s NATO membership.”

“WE WILL HAVE TO RESPOND”

On the other hand, Putin warned that it was dangerous for the two countries to join NATO, saying, “There used to be no threat to them. Now, if military units and infrastructure are deployed there, we will have to respond and create a similar threat to their territory. This is something that is obvious and they need to understand this clearly.”

Stating that they have problems with Ukraine, Putin said, “The situation with Ukraine is completely different. There is nothing like this in Finland and Sweden. This is a completely different situation. If Sweden and Finland want, let them join NATO.”

Stating that “NATO is a remnant of the Cold War”, Putin said, “NATO is needed by the US as an instrument of its foreign policy to keep its satellites under its command.”

UKRAINE STATEMENT: NOTHING HAS CHANGED

Referring to the war between Russia and Ukraine that has been going on for more than 4 months, Putin said, “Our goals in Ukraine have not changed. On the morning of February 24, I said everything publicly to the whole country and the whole world. I have nothing to add to this. Nothing has changed.”

Stating that everything in Ukraine is going according to plan, Putin said he did not want to give a date for the end of military actions.

Referring to the shooting of the Amstor Shopping Center in the city of Kremenchuk in Ukraine’s Poltava region, Putin argued that “this was not a terrorist attack and the explosion did not take place there.”

Putin said, “The Russian army does not hit any civilian targets. There is no need for this. We have all the means to detect what and where. We can reach targets with long-range high-precision weapons.”

RESPONSE TO JOHNSON: THATCHER STARTED A WAR AGAINST ARGENTINA

Evaluating British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s statement that “If the Russian President were a woman, there would be no war”, Putin reminded that “former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher started a war against Argentina for the Falkland Islands”.

Putin said, “A woman decided to start a war. Where are the Falkland Islands and where is Britain? The reason for this is imperialist ambitions and getting the imperialist status approved. That is why the current British Prime Minister’s references to what is happening today are wrong.”
