According to Iran’s official agency IRNA, the number of security personnel killed in terrorist attacks in Sistan-Baluchestan province has risen to 15.
Ali Reza Merhamati, the Deputy Governor of Sistan-Baluchestan, announced immediately after the incident that 3 Iranian security officers were killed in the clashes that broke out after the attacks.
State television reported that the number of Iranian security personnel killed in the prolonged clashes had risen to 11 and that 16 of the attackers had been killed.
The Jaish al Adl organization claimed responsibility for the attacks on its social media accounts.
“Jaish al-Adl”, which is considered a terrorist organization in Iran, claims that it “defends the rights of the Sunni Baluch people” and carries out armed actions against Iran from time to time in Sistan-Baluchistan province in the southeast of the country, bordering Pakistan.
