Although there is no official announcement yet, photos shared from the set of Daredevil: Born Again show that Jon Bernthal will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Punisher.
Before the Disney+ platform was launched, Marvel characters’ TV series were available on Netflix. Separated from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, this universe featured more street-level heroes. The Punisher and Daredevil were among the most popular characters in those series. It seems that Marvel aims to protect these characters and the actors who portray them.

Although there is no official announcement yet, it has been rumored that we will see the Punisher once again in Daredevil: Born Again and that the character will once again be played by Jon Bernthal. The shared set photo shows that the claims are true, unless it’s part of a heartbreaking April Fool’s joke by Disney.
Jon Bernthal gave life to the character of Frank Castle/Punisher in both the Daredevil series and the two-season Punisher series. Bernthal, who received full marks from the fans of the character, was wanted to continue his role in the MCU. Charlie Cox (Daredevil/Matt Murdock) and Vincent D’Onofrio (King Pin) similarly returned to their roles in the MCU.
In the photo taken by a fan in a restaurant, the scars on Bernthal’s face, created with makeup, draw attention. The photo also shows the famous actor’s stunt double. Although Bernthal has previously expressed his desire to return to the role, a statement from the Marvel wing is needed to say anything definite.
