Dubai to build a drive-through shopping mall

Mohammed Al Abbar, founder of Emaar and Noon, said they will build a new shopping mall with drive-through access to the port in Dubai.

Speaking at the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival, El Abbar said, “This will be the first shopping center where cars can enter. Therefore, it is unique.”

Al-Abbar also announced that the new mall will be a skyscraper, slightly smaller than Burj Khalifa and close to a kilometer long.

Stating that they think that the 6 million square meter area where the tower will be built will be the new city center, El Abbar said that they plan the new tower as a “female version” of Burj Khalifa.

“The tower will not be the tallest structure in the United Arab Emirates. Why? Because when I was reassessing some aspects of the new development plan, I realized that we need to pay more attention to elegance in our cities. We need to beautify our cities and Sharjah is one of the biggest examples of this.”

Ending his speech by giving advice to young people, the Arab businessman said, “Who is the smart person to call when you are in trouble? I want that person’s number. My advice is to find smart people and do what you love. Discover what you love and turn your passion into a career.”

Mohammed Al Abbar, founder of the real estate company Emaar and the e-commerce company Noon, was also the builder of the Burj Khalifa.

The Arab businessman is estimated to have a net worth of at least $5 billion.
