Miley Cyrus made her mark on fashion with the see-through gold metal dress she wore at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The 31-year-old singer stepped out on the red carpet outside the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (February 4) wearing a sheer gold dress by Maison Margiela. The unique dress with a gladiator-inspired gold chain mail design and metal underwear was perfectly paired with a wavy updo and Tiffany & Co jewelry. Cyrus completed her look with yellow velvet shoes, also by Maison Margiela.
Cyrus appeared on the red carpet at the annual Grammy Awards, making her first appearance at an award ceremony in 2024. The famous singer was nominated for 6 awards, including Song of the Year for Flowers.
Cyrus’ choice of dress received the approval of her fans on social media, with many applauding Cyrus for the iconic dress.
“It signals a new era and I’m ready for it,” wrote one user on X, formerly known as Twitter, while another said:
Like a Greek goddess.
Another user wrote, “Miley looks amazing tonight and she knows it. She’s dressed to win! With 6 nominations she has plenty of opportunity to do so. Good luck!” he wrote.
But not everyone approved of the eccentric look; one fan described it as “weird”, while another said:
Why is she dressed like a sand dollar? Help me out here.
“This outfit is definitely eye-catching!” another user wrote.
In addition to performing “Flowers” on the Grammy stage, Cyrus also won her first Grammy.
E! News, Miley’s Record of the Year nomination made history as the famous singer and her father Billy Ray Cyrus became the third father-daughter duo to be nominated in this category. Billy Ray was previously nominated in this category for “Achy Breaky Heart” in 1992 and “Old Town Road” in 2018
