Stating that today is a “terrible day” for the United States, Trump sent his condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives.

Defending the impact of the ‘Maximum Pressure’ policy he said he implemented during his presidency, Trump said, “The Iranian regime could barely scrape together two dollars to fund its terrorist proxies.”
‘If I had been president, this attack would not have happened’
Claiming that Biden gave billions of dollars to Iran, Trump argued that Iran used this money to commit “carnage and destruction” in the Middle East.
Trump also stated, “If I were president, this attack would never have happened.”
Trump underlined that the drone strike is proof that his country urgently needs to return to a policy of ‘peace through strength’, noting that this is necessary to avoid chaos and carnage, as well as the loss of US lives.
“Our country cannot survive with Joe Biden as commander-in-chief,” the former President said at the end of his post.
Attack on US forces
According to a written statement released by the White House, Biden said, “Last night, three US soldiers were killed and several wounded in a drone attack on our forces deployed northeast of Jordan, near the Syrian border.”
Stating that they are still gathering information about the attack, Biden said, “We know that this was carried out by Iran-backed radical militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq.”
Noting that those responsible for the attack will be held accountable at a time and in a manner the US will choose, Biden emphasized that they will continue to fight this war.
In a written statement from the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it was stated that 3 US soldiers were killed and 25 people were wounded as a result of a one-way drone attack in northeast Jordan.
The Jordanian government, on the other hand, announced that the attack on the US forces did not take place on the territory of the country, but at the Tenef Base on the Syrian border.
