Manchester United embargoes some journalists

Manchester United excluded some journalists from today’s press conference due to critical reports about manager Erik ten Hag.

According to reports in the British press, reporters from Sky Sports, Daily Mirror, ESPN and MEN were not allowed into the press conference organized by the Dutch coach ahead of tomorrow’s match against Chelsea.

The Manchester team confirmed that “action has been taken against some news organizations not for reporting stories they did not like, but for not contacting the club to give them the opportunity to comment or object”.

“We believe this is an important principle to defend. We hope it will lead to a realignment of how we work together.”

While the decision was allegedly taken by communications director Andrew Ward, it is not known whether the ban only covers today’s meeting.

Recent reports had suggested that Manchester United players had lost faith in manager Ten Hag after poor results.

Manchester United, who are in the same group with Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League, are in last place with 4 points. The English representative under Erik Ten Hag, who lost 6 of 14 matches in the Premier League, is in 7th place with 24 points.
