One-Punch Man admits that the prophecy “The Earth is in peril” was concerning God, who is therefore established as the series’ final enemy.
One-Punch Man has proven a massive idea linking two of its most intriguing mysteries: the enigmatic adversary known as God and the prophecy “The Earth is in jeopardy” given by the seer Shibabawa. This prophesy is one of the series’ underlying narrative lines, and it prophesied the entrance of the greatest threat ever faced by Earth, which is now proved to be God, a mystery individual who has been hinted as the story’s final nemesis.
Shibabawa, the famous seer, left behind an unsettling prophesy with a simple message: “The Earth is in peril!” before her death. The disaster was not detailed, but it will occur within a year, and Shibabawa has never been incorrect before. Many villains in the story, like Boros, Monster King Orochi, and the Hero Hunter Garou, were supposed to be heralds of the impending disaster, but their menace was always averted by the heroes (mainly by Saitama), and the Earth came to a halt. The enigma has finally been solved, thanks to Psykos, a powerful esper who has also obtained the gift of prophesy, and the identity of the greatest peril ever faced by Earth has been revealed.
Chapter #176 of One-Punch Man delves more into the background of Psykos, who founded the Monster Association under the name of Gyoro Gyoro in order to eliminate mankind on Earth. She was, however, a friend of Fubuki’s and the vice president of the “Society for Supernatural Research” before that. Psykos discovered a new talent, the “Third Eye,” which allowed her to see into the future in order to keep up with Fubuki’s incredible psychic skills. Psykos, on the other hand, was nearly insane as a result of her vision. Psykos was beaten and caught by Fubuki after barely surviving the struggle against the Hero Association. Fubuki probed inside her head to learn what led her to madness and wickedness. What Fubuki sees is an image of God, thus confirming that he is the threat of the prophecy.
God Is The Catastrophe Predicted By The “Earth Is In Danger!” Prophecy
The chapter makes a strong connection between Psykos’ vision and Shibabawa’s prophesy, thus there is no doubt that they are about the same thing. Fubuki, on the other hand, has no idea who God is, which is why she wants to converse to Psykos while she is imprisoned. Tsukuyomi, a mystery organization that wants to capture Psykos in order to gain her power, is after the Third Eye and its visions. This was the first indication that Psykos’ vision contained the key to solving the One-Punch Man enigma, which was eventually unequivocally proven in chapter #176 by the arrival of God.
There are still several questions that must be addressed. God is the greatest threat the Earth has ever faced, yet his aims or strategy have yet to be disclosed. Blast, the hero who has been fighting God in secret for the past twenty years, should have some answers.
