The death toll in Brazil has risen to 4 after an attacker killed a person wounded in an armed attack on two schools on Friday

According to the official Brazilian news agency Agencia Brasil, 38-year-old Flavia Amboss Merçon, a teacher at the Primo Bitti school in Espirito Santo state, where the first attack was organized, died in the hospital where she was being treated.

Thus, the number of deaths in the attacks on two schools increased to 4, including 3 teachers and a student.

It was stated that 4 of the 5 people being treated in the hospital were in serious condition, two of them were children aged 11 and 14.

In the Coqueiral neighborhood of the city of Aracruz in the state of Espirito Santo in eastern Brazil, an attacker had organized an armed attack on two schools on the same street on Friday.

The attacker, dressed in camouflage and wearing a mask, entered the Primo Bitti School, which provides primary and secondary education, and opened fire.

Authorities said the attacker, whose identity was not released, was a 16-year-old teenager who had planned the attack for two years and was wearing a bracelet with a Nazi symbol.

Espirito Santo State Governor Renato Casagrande announced a 3-day mourning period in the state due to the attack.
