Eighteen people were killed in an armed attack in Nigeria’s Plateau state.
According to national media reports, armed assailants on motorcycles organized an attack in Maikatako area of Plateau state.
The attack left 18 people dead and many others injured.
Police Public Relations Director Alfred Alabo said in a statement that the injured were taken to hospital, adding that security forces had been dispatched to the scene.
The use of motorcycles has been banned in some states in the country due to recent attacks by gunmen on motorcycles.
