Kushner: Trump is considering running again

Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, has revealed that Trump is considering running for president in 2024.

In an interview with Sky News, Kushner responded to a question about whether Trump is preparing to run by saying, “No one can speak for him on that. But basically, I know he’s clearly thinking about it. He hates to see what’s going on in the country.”

Saying that Trump managed the economy well during his presidency, Kushner continued with the following statements:

“He filled the gap left by Covid-19 economically. He got us out of this with his vaccine. We had peace in Europe, peace in the world. China’s actions were brought under control. Now there is a war with Russia in Ukraine. This would never have happened in his time.”

Secret documents case

Kushner described the FBI raid on Trump’s Florida home as ‘a paperwork issue’.

“This appears to be a paperwork issue that needs to be resolved between the Justice Department and Trump. I don’t know what he got or didn’t get, but we’re relying on the information that’s leaking to the media right now,” Kushner said.

Asked if he had seen photos in the press of documents marked top secret, Kushner replied, “I’ve seen a lot of claims in the media over the past four years that later turned out to be untrue.”

Asked whether there would be anything wrong if there were top secret documents in the house, Kushner replied:

“As I said, we shouldn’t respond to assumptions. Let’s wait until we know the facts. First of all, he was the president of the United States and he had the highest authority in the world. So I don’t know if it’s a question of paperwork, as I said, I didn’t go into details.”
