In Europe, Huawei has introduced two new phones, a laptop, a tablet, and a smartwatch with a medical certification.
Huawei announced a number of new products for the global markets at IFA 2022, the ongoing tech festival in Berlin. The Chinese IT company has taken a significant hit as a result of the US embargo. Formerly a global leader in smartphones, Huawei is now competing for market share even in its own nation. Despite this, the tech company is still strongly leaning toward releasing new phones abroad even though they don’t include Google services.
The Huawei Nova 10 series, which includes the Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro, is its newest line of gadgets. The phones made their European debut in Berlin in spite of being introduced in China in July.
Huawei has reversed the narrative on the two devices to stand out. On the front of them each is a 60MP ultrawide camera. You did read that correctly. Prepare yourself for epic selfies. Another 8MP selfie camera for portrait pictures is included in the Pro model.
The Nova 10 and 10 Pro, which also have a triple back camera system with a 50MP main + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP depth camera combination, are powered by the Snapdragon 778 4G CPU.
The Pro version has a 4,500mAh battery and 100W fast charging, while the standard model has a 4,000mAh battery and 66W charging.
In every country, the phones will come with EMUI 12 software. The cost of the phones has not yet been disclosed.
Huawei MateBook X Pro refresh
The new MateBook X Pro was also unveiled by Huawei at IFA 2022. The laptop now uses 12th generation Intel Core CPUs and sports a 14.2-inch 90Hz FullView display with Huawei’s “most sophisticated touchpad ever found on a MateBook.”
The Windows 11 laptop also includes a 60Wh battery, two Thunderbolt 4 connections, two USB-C ports, a new Huawei Shark Fin Fan cooling system, 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD storage, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and two Thunderbolt 4 connectors. Huawei MatePad Pro
The most recent MatePad Pro is an 11-inch OLED tablet with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 variants and was announced in China last month. With a weight of 449g, Huawei claims to have the lightest 11-inch tablet available.
The MatePad Pro also has a 16MP selfie camera, a dual back camera configuration with a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP wide-angle lens, an 8,300mAh battery, six speakers, and four microphones.
Beginning on September 30, the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 will cost €649.
Huawei Watch D
As for the Huawei Watch D, it was unveiled earlier this year and is finally arriving in Europe as a licensed medical device for ECG analysis. Additionally, it can monitor other common health indicators including heart rate and blood oxygen levels as well as blood pressure.
The 1.64-inch AMOLED color display, IP68 water resistance, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and up to seven days of battery life with regular use are included in the technical specifications. The smartwatch’s price and availability have not yet been disclosed by Huawei.
