London’s transport network has come to a standstill as rail and bus workers strike for improved pay and working conditions
According to Reuters news agency, Transport for London announced that all London underground and rail lines were partially suspended and dozens of bus lines in the west of the city were closed to traffic.
Thousands of rail workers in the British capital London went on strike yesterday, with another strike planned for tomorrow. London’s rail transportation network has been witnessing disruptions due to strikes organized by unions to improve workers’ salaries and working conditions.
But the problem is not limited to this. In addition to rail workers, workers in other sectors are also planning to strike, including dockers, lawyers, teachers, nurses, firefighters, airport and postal staff.
