Mark Garland was about to check in at London‘s Heathrow Airport for his trip to Thailand when the attendant told him he already had a check.
After forty minutes of confusion, Mark and the attendant learned that there was another person named Mark Garland on the plane.
The two Marks met in the departure lounge and were stunned to find that not only did they share the same name, but they also looked quite similar.
The coincidences continued when they found themselves sitting next to each other on the plane and spent the rest of the flight chatting.
Two men, one 62 and the other 58 years old, found out that they lived in houses about 25 kilometers apart. Mark, 58, was a bus driver, while the other Mark worked in the construction industry.
They realized that this was not their first encounter when Mark the builder told Mark the driver that he had been on his bus before.
“YOU GAVE ME SO MUCH TROUBLE”
Other similarities emerged, such as the fact that the two had a mutual friend, were both single and had four children.
“It was very strange and after a bit of confusion, we both started laughing when we realized what had happened,” said bus driver Mark, one of the two who described the incident.
I said, “You have caused me a lot of trouble,” and he said, “You have caused me a lot of trouble.” The men showing their passports to each other started laughing and thought it was a joke.
Mark the builder added the following: “It was crazy, I never expected anything like this, they said there was another Mark Garland, they wanted to come and see my passport, I thought ‘what’s going on!
THEY WILL STAY IN TOUCH
In addition to looking the same, having the same name and living close to each other, both men discovered that they have a shared passion for Thailand. One said he had been to Thailand 13 times and the other 83 times.
By the end of the plane ride, the two Mark Garlands had become good friends and promised to stay in touch.
They are even planning to meet in Thailand.
