Bloomberg Intelligence has published a new report shedding light on the future of the automotive industry. Accordingly, Tesla will remain at the top of electric car sales for the next 18 months. However, Volkswagen will then overtake Tesla in terms of production volume and sales figures by 2024 at the latest.
The report emphasized that the majority of manufacturers will lag behind Tesla in electric car sales by 2025. As of 2024, Volkswagen will be the market leader, and it is possible to say that Tesla and Volkswagen will dominate the industry together in a few years.
The chart published by Bloomberg Intelligence confirms all these data. In 2025, Volkswagen is the leader, Tesla is second and Chinese BYD is third in sales. We also see companies such as Ford, Changan, General Motors, Stellantis, Geely, Mercedes-Benz and Toyota.
