According to positive test result figures obtained by the Amsterdam University School of Medicine and the Amsterdam Community Health Centre (GGD), the BA.4 and BA.5 variants accounted for 27 percent of corona infections 1 week ago, but now this figure has doubled.
About 54 percent of the cases that emerged this week are now the BA.4 and BA.5 variants.
According to public broadcaster NOS, Dutch sewage water measurements also show that the number of coronavirus particles is increasing.
