As Russia’s war against Ukraine on February 24 left behind 100 days, according to their own statements, Russian soldiers sent to Ukraine as “peacekeepers” were dragged into a conflict with an unknown end.

Russian soldiers complained about the troubles they were experiencing inside Ukraine. It has been in the spotlight for months that they disobeyed orders and laid down their arms.

The world press has repeatedly deciphered the audio recordings of Russian soldiers, but this time the soldiers voluntarily appeared in front of the camera and addressed Russian President Putin.

Soldiers who claimed to be from the 113th rifle regiment of the separatist Donetsk People’s Republic in footage posted on Telegram rebelled, saying they had been sent to Ukraine to fight on the front lines, but had been left without medicine and food in the cold for months.

NO PROPER EQUIPMENT AND MEDICAL CARE

The company commander, who said that his soldiers were not provided with proper equipment and medical care, also claimed that men with chronic illnesses who should not have been conscripted in any way were thrown into the middle of the war.

The video, which quickly spread on social media, showed the commander shouting “113. The 5th Infantry Regiment The Infantry Battalion was on the front lines in the Kherson region of Ukraine. At that time, the staff overcame the cold and hunger, and for a considerable period of time we managed to fight without financial support, medical supplies or food,” he is heard saying.

“OUR COMPLAINTS ARE SEEN AS SABOTAGE”

Stating that the soldiers were sent to the battlefield without any medical examination, the commander said, “There are people in our battalion who should not serve in the military according to the laws of the Donetsk People’s Republic. There are those who have chronic diseases, there are those who have problems with mental health,” he said.

“The top command interprets our complaints as sabotage,” the commander said, adding, “Respect your officers. What do you gain from sending your soldiers to their deaths?”
