GERMAN PRESS ANNOUNCES MEETING
German media reported that Scholz and Macron’s meeting with Putin lasted 80 minutes.
The report said the meeting was “dedicated to Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and its efforts to end it.”
MACRON AND SCHOLZ CALL FOR IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL
Media reports also said that Scholz and Macron called on Putin to immediately withdraw their troops from Ukraine.
The speech, in which Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelenskiy were offered direct talks, called for a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
