US President Joe Biden allegedly threatened to sack White House staffers who appeared to leak information about Kamala Harris after she faced backlash during a visit to Guatemala.
Harris faced a lot of criticism when he traveled to the Central American country in June last year to address immigration, a controversial political dossier entrusted to Biden, The Times reported. Harris, who is on his first foreign visit as vice president, warned immigrants not to travel to the U.S. border. However, this attitude has drawn criticism from some politicians.

In an upcoming book by two New York Times reporters, Biden allegedly summoned senior staff to the Oval Office and warned them that they would become former employees if he learned that any of them had made negative statements about the vice president.
According to the newspaper, Harris is said to be disappointed by Biden’s statements, which include voting rights for immigrants, which many observers see as another unwelcome attempt.
