A stunning claim has been made about former US President Donald Trump and the Truth Social he founded.
Trump was said to be angry that there was little interest in the new social media platform.
The Daily Beast, citing two sources with knowledge of the matter, reported that Trump “unnecessarily swore” and asked, “What’s going on?” in phone calls with Truth Social.
Trump decided to set up a social media platform last year after Twitter shut down his account.
Twitter aims to appeal to its audience through different channels and expand its base through the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), a company it founded to be an alternative to mainstream platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Netflix.
Truth Social, released from the App Store on February 20th, topped the list of free apps during the week of its release. When the app was first published, it reached 2 million daily visits. On the other hand, this number has fallen to an average of 300,000 per day.
The conservative app Gettr can reach an average of 300,000 visits a day and Gab 650,000.
Truth Social is also experiencing technical problems. Users who want to create an account report that they are experiencing errors and delays.
More than 1 million people are waiting in line to sign up for the app, which can only be downloaded from the App Store.
These factors are thought to lead to a decrease in demand for Truth Social.
The Daily Beast reported why the app wasn’t being used by more people, and trump,who asked him to dominate the market, regretted it. Trump was also said to be frustrated by technical glitches.
