Coinbase has partnered with Mastercard to pay for purchases in its upcoming NFT marketplace.
Coinbase, an American company that uses cryptocurrency exchange, trading, announced last October that it would open an NFT marketplace. Moreover, this platform will not only provide purchasing, but also NFT production. Now coinbase has gone to some collaborations for the upcoming NFT market.
Thanks to its collaboration with Mastercard, the company will allow card payments for the newly opened NFT market. In this way, it will be possible to buy NFT directly in the official currency using your Mastercard credit and debit cards. Here are the details…
It’s easier to get NFT in collaboration with Coinbase-Mastercard
Coinbase says it is working with Mastercard to classify NFT as digital products. He also adds that NFT needs to become more accessible for someone who wants to buy and store NFT. As you know, in most NFT markets, you first need to buy the cryptocurrency, add it to a secure device and connect this wallet to the market. These procedures are not very practical.
Mastercard’s vice president of digital asset and blockchain products, Raj Dhamodharan, made an announcement on mastercard’s official website. He said Mastercard had acquired CipherTrace, a cryptocurrency intelligence company, and would use it to improve the security of NFT purchases, adding:
“Expanding the audience for NFT’s allows this emerging market to support more creators and could ignite the next evolution of digital commerce. Incorporating more people safely and securely is perhaps the best way to help the NFT market thrive.”
Coinbase’s NFT market, expected since October, has not yet been released. However, here you can create an early access record and put your name on the waiting list. Nifty Gateway has been offering such payment options since day one, while Rarible offers the possibility to purchase NFT directly with Visa or Mastercard.
