Diplomatic traffic from President Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held telephone conversations with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Sultan of Oman Heysem Bin Tariq, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif and President of Iraq Abdullatif Rashid.

According to the statement released by the Presidency of Communications, regional and global issues as well as relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan were discussed during the meeting.

President Erdoğan also congratulated Aliyev on Eid al-Fitr.

Pakistan

President Erdoğan also had a telephone conversation with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and Pakistan and global issues were discussed.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan wished mercy to the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan and condolences to their relatives, and expressed his belief that the country would overcome this difficult period with its state experience.

During the meeting, the leaders also congratulated each other on Eid al-Fitr.

Oman

Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Sultan of Oman Heysem bin Tariq.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and Oman, Israel’s attacks on Gaza and regional issues were discussed.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that the efforts to stop the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian territories and to send urgent humanitarian aid to the region should continue and that it is important for the Islamic world to take united steps in this regard.

President Erdoğan and the Sultan of Oman also congratulated each other on Eid al-Fitr.

Iraq

President Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with Iraqi President Abdullatif Rashid.

During the meeting, relations between Turkey and Iraq, the fight against terrorism, the Development Road Project and regional issues were discussed.
