Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi‘s statement on Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, the conflict with Hezbollah and tensions with Iran was published by the Israeli military.

Halevi argued that the Israeli army “knows how to act effectively against Iran, both near and far, and how to deal with Iran both offensively and defensively.”

Stating that the attacks on Gaza continue and that they are “far away” from stopping it, Halevi argued that “Hezbollah is paying more and more for its participation in the war” regarding his country’s clashes with Hezbollah.

Halevi said Israel was also preparing for the possibility of war in the north, where clashes with Hezbollah continue.

Since October 7, 33,175 Palestinians, including at least 14,500 children and 9,560 women, have been killed and 75,886 people have been injured in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.

While thousands of dead are still reported under the rubble, civilian infrastructure is also being destroyed by targeting hospitals and educational institutions where people seek refuge.
