It was revealed that Tom Cruise, the lead actor and one of the producers of the movie, offered the famous Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton a role to take part in the movie.
“I REGRETTED IT SO MUCH WHEN I WATCHED IT”

Hamilton, who had previously told Cruise that he wanted to be in the movie if the sequel was made, “even if he was a janitor,” said, “First of all, I hadn’t even taken an acting class. And I didn’t want to be the one who let this movie down. Secondly, I didn’t have the time. I was very upset that I didn’t accept. Then when I watched the movie, I regretted it very much. It could have been me.”
THERE IS STILL A CHANCE
It is known that work has begun on the third movie in the series, so Hamilton still has a chance to take part in the Top Gun saga.
