ChatGPT will now be available without a subscription (but with conditions)

OpenAI has paved the way for its flagship large language model AI ChatGPT to be available without a subscription. Of course, there is a reason for this move.

ChatGPT has long been one of the most popular and controversial AI tools, leading the way in bringing today’s AI revolution to the masses. OpenAI has removed the subscription requirement to use this AI. From now on, everyone will be able to use ChatGPT, but those who will use it without a subscription will have somewhat limited access

More data for more advanced models

In the new system, which OpenAI is currently rolling out in certain regions, users will be able to use ChatGPT without the need to create a special subscription. ChatGPT will use the data from these chats to further develop its models, but users can prevent the collection of their data if they wish. To do this, it will be enough to click on the question mark button on the screen and remove the permissions in the data collection option.

Users will not need to log in and will be able to communicate directly with the AI chatbot. On the other hand, the skills of this bot will be even more limited than the version used with free subscriptions. In the statement made by OpenAI, it was stated that the model to be used without a subscription will be even more limited in terms of content creation. OpenAI explained this content restriction beyond the existing content restrictions as follows: “Non-logged-in experiences will benefit from existing security measures. In addition, additional security protections will be in place for content that may not be appropriate.” This statement did not provide any additional information about the process or the details of the security measures.

It is not yet known in which region or by which groups ChatGPT, which does not require a subscription, will be used first.
