Hassan Melihat, the head of the Bedouin Rights Defense Organization (BEYDER), said that a group of armed invaders, under the protection of Israeli forces, attacked the Bedouin community of Arab al-Malihat northwest of Jericho city and raided 12 houses.
Melihat stated that furniture was damaged in the raided houses and 5 Palestinians were beaten during the raids, and added that the settlers opened fire and fired gas bombs at Palestinians during the raids.
On the other hand, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Jewish occupation forces attacked the villages of East Lubben, south of Nablus, and Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.
According to the report, settlers opened fire at Palestinians, their homes and shops, while Israeli forces detained two young men in al-Mikyer village, near Kaf Malik village.
The Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) Council to Combat the Separation Wall (Wall of Shame) and Jewish Settlements said in a statement that a group of settlers attacked farmers near Ramallah, uprooted olive trees in the village of Turmusayya, and attacked Palestinian vehicles near the town of Ain Yeburd.
The statement added that Palestinian homes in al-Fawwar Refugee Camp, south of Hebron city, were also raided by settlers.
According to the Council’s annual data, Jewish settlers carried out 2,410 attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank in 2023, and displaced 25 Bedouin communities, 22 of them after October 7.
