The Russian government banned gasoline exports for 6 months starting March 1.
In a written statement made by the Russian government, it was stated that measures were taken to maintain stability in the country’s fuel market, and in this context, gasoline exports were banned for 6 months as of March 1, and shipments made through intergovernmental agreements, including Eurasian Economic Union countries, were not covered by this decision.
Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak said yesterday that the possible ban on gasoline exports could be lifted ahead of schedule.
Due to the increase in gasoline and diesel prices in Russia, gasoline exports were banned in September 2023, and the ban was lifted about 2 months later.
