Biden, who participated in NBC channel’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” program, pointed out that Israel should seize the opportunity to have peace for themselves and the Palestinians and said, “You don’t have to be Jewish to be a Zionist. I am a Zionist, without Israel, not a single Jew in the world would be safe.”
Stating that a different direction could be taken in the event of a temporary ceasefire, Biden stated that in such a case, a two-state solution that would guarantee Israel’s security and Palestinian independence could be reached.
During his visit to New York, US President Biden was asked by members of the press when the ceasefire in Gaza would be achieved, “Hopefully by the end of this week. My national security adviser said we’re very close, but we’re not there yet. Hopefully by next Monday, we will have a ceasefire (in Gaza).”
