Big increase in salaries
It was announced in January last year that the cast of young stars would receive large salary increases for the final season of the series.
According to Puck News, Millie Bobby-Brown, who plays Eleven, tops the list as the highest paid actress.
Bobby-Brown’s exact salary is unknown as she is tied to a Netflix deal that includes her starring role in Enola Holmes.
The British actress celebrated her 20th birthday on February 19.
Winona Ryder in second place
Winona Ryder, 52, who plays Joyce Buyers in the series, and David Harbour, 48, who plays Jim Hopper, reportedly earned $9 million each for season 5. Ryder and Harbour share the second place on the salary scale.
When Stranger Things was released in 2016, it captured the hearts of audiences and catapulted its child leads to worldwide fame.
Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarrazo and Noah Schnapp joined Millie Bobby-Brown as the series’ lead actors.
Sadie Sink was another young actress who joined the cast in the second season as Max Mayfield.
They will earn 7 million dollars each
The actors, now all in their early 20s, will reportedly take home $7 million each for filming season 5.
Rounding out the main cast, which will return for the show’s fifth and final season, are the older sisters and brothers and their peers: Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington and Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley.
Each of these actors will reportedly earn 6 million dollars for season 5.
The official Instagram account of the popular series announced the start of filming on the first day of production by sharing a photo of the entire cast.
Since then, various photos have been released to build excitement for the highly anticipated finale.
