According to Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority, Mercedes-Benz will recall around 250,000 vehicles worldwide, including 37,000 in Germany, as a precautionary measure against the potential risk of fire.
The recall will affect Mercedes’ 2023 AMG GT, C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, S-Class and SL models.
According to the German news agency DPA, Mercedes-Benz will replace certain parts of the vehicles affected by the fire risk free of charge as a precautionary measure.
The planned exchange will take 2 to 5.5 hours, depending on the equipment.
