Minister Fidan evaluated the agenda and answered questions in the A Haber broadcast.
Regarding a question about the US attacks on Iran-backed groups, Fidan emphasized that the US was “playing with fire” and said, “When you play with fire, that fire can turn into a fire at any moment. It may not be brought under control. We are facing a risk here. This issue of uncontrollability stands before us as a threat.”
Stating that Turkey is in constant talks with regional partners and the US, Fidan said, “Regional expansion should be avoided. The situation is not good. We may face a bigger expansion.”
“Israel does not seek security”
Fidan underlined that the issue of Israel’s security is constantly brought up in the world public opinion.
Stating that Israel will feel safe when it stops lying to the world public opinion, Fidan said, “Israel is not after security. Israel is after more land. The day it gives the Palestinians their own state, Israel will be safe.”
Fidan reminded that they have repeatedly conveyed that they are ready to take responsibility as the countries in the region and said, “This was the reason why we put forward the guarantor mechanism methodologically, differently this time, while bringing the two-state solution to the agenda.”
