China was named as the enemy in a hypothetical battle in a military exercise between the Japan Self-Defense Forces (SDF) and the US military, The Japan Times reported, citing government sources.
The computer simulation exercise, which is scheduled to last until Thursday, involves a scenario of responding to an emergency in Taiwan.
The scenario of the exercise is classified as a “special secret” under Japan’s secrecy law.
