Realme 9 Pro 5G users in India have the chance to participate in the early access program for Realme’s latest UI update, Realme UI 5.0. Based on the Android 14 operating system, this update brings a number of new features and improvements that enrich the user experience. Featuring an updated interface with Aquamorphic Design, Realme UI 5.0 promises a more natural and refined color experience. It also brings Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and improved system notification sounds. Users will also notice improvements in system animations, increased app launch speeds and overall system stability.
With the update, features such as Fluid Cloud present information more clearly, while the Immediate Shelf feature, which offers expanded widget options, gives users more customization. Important steps have also been taken in terms of security and privacy, and improvements have been made in photo and video permission management, allowing apps to access this content faster.

However, it is important to note that the early access version is a beta version and may contain some known issues. For example, scrolling the desktop is temporarily impossible when using floating windows. This can be temporarily resolved by pulling down the status bar. Also, the Glance Lock Screen feature is not yet available but will be added in future updates.
The early access program for Realme 9 Pro 5G users allows users to experience this new update. As with beta software, there may be some bugs and incompatibilities. It is therefore advisable not to install the update on your main device.
Applications for the early access program started on 27 January 2024. It should be noted that applications are limited and accepted in batches. Applicants must have unrooted devices, more than 15GB of storage, and back up their data to prevent data loss. It is important to be patient as there is no guarantee that every applicant will receive the update.
To apply, users need to charge their device more than 60%, update to the specified UI version, enable Developer Mode and apply via the Software Update App channel.
