Due to the changes in economic conditions in recent years, there has been a serious movement in the smartphone market. In this process, while some brands showed a decline in sales, there were also some who took advantage of this and took new steps. According to the latest developments, there was a first in the Chinese smartphone market.
- Children will not be able to receive messages from strangers on Instagram and Facebook!
- When OpenAI couldn’t stop “virtual love robots”, it removed the search (of course, users got over it!)
Apple conquers the Chinese smartphone market
Until now, the United States-based Apple has not been the leader in the Chinese smartphone market. We mostly saw Honor, vivo or Xiaomi brands as the first. However, according to the latest data, there has been a significant change.
According to data shared by International Data Corporation (IDC), total smartphone shipments in China fell by 5 percent in 2023 to 271.3 million. Apple became the leader for the first time with 17.3 percent market share. Arthur Guo, senior research analyst at IDC China Customer System Research, called it a tremendous success.
In the second place of the list, we see Honor, which was once under the roof of Huawei, but then made its own way. The company’s market share is 17.1 percent. In third and fourth place were vivo with 16.5 percent and Xiaomi with 13.2 percent, respectively.
