UN: Israeli attacks killed more Palestinians in the West Bank in 2023 than in any other year in 18 years

The United Nations reported that Israeli forces killed 504 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank in 2023, the most Palestinians killed in the region in 18 years.

The United Nations (UN) Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) X said in a post on its social media platform that the organization has been keeping records of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since 2005.

In the post, it was emphasized that Israeli forces killed 504 Palestinians in the West Bank this year, and that 2023 was the year in which the highest number of Palestinians were killed since 2005, when UNRWA started keeping records.

Israeli forces accelerated their attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank, especially after October 7.

Israeli forces and Jewish settlers, who increased their raids in the West Bank, have killed 315 Palestinians and detained 4,840 people in the region, including occupied East Jerusalem, since October 7.
