Google, one of the important names in the technology world, provides convenience to its users with its file sharing service Nearby Share. However, according to the news, the company has decided to change the name of this service.
However, the Nearby Share feature will now be called “Quick Share”. The change was announced in the latest beta version of Google Play services, 23.50.13.

In the notification sent to users after the update, it was said that the application will now be Quick Share. It will also have a new icon. The new icon will come with a design with semi-circular tails with two arrows pointing at each other.
Despite such a change, the functionality of the service will remain the same. On the other hand, the name Quick Share is an interesting choice. This is because the file sharing tool on Samsung’s Galaxy phones has the same name.
As a result, it became a matter of curiosity whether there is a cooperation between Samsung and Google. It is claimed that both companies will bring together the file sharing service under a single feature name. It is also stated that this change will take a few weeks to come to all devices.
