President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the World Human Rights Day Face of Humanity Program at Halic Congress Center. Erdoğan said, ‘Attacks against Muslims have increased. Islamophobia has gripped the West like poison ivy. They legitimized Islamophobic acts under the pretext of freedom of opinion. On the other hand, stating that the UN must be reformed, Erdoğan said: “It is not possible for humanity to get anywhere with this UN. A just world is possible, but not with America.

AK Party Human Rights Presidency organized the ‘Face of Humanity’ Program on the occasion of World Human Rights Day. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also attended the program held at Haliç Congress Center. The program started with the singing of the song written against the French Cartoon Magazine Charlie Hebdo with lyrics and music by Yücel Arzen. A video on Global Human Rights and Human Rights in Turkey was also shown in the program.

President Erdoğan said, “Recently, we have started to see examples of the West’s barbarism more and more frequently through the events that it has directly committed and indirectly supported. Crimes against humanity have the characteristic of eventually being judged in the conscience of the judgment and their perpetrators being held accountable before history. We see the increasingly violent examples of barbarism and the cries of the innocent rising to the heavens as signs that we are approaching a turning point. Today, the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights is being flagrantly violated in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. Since October 7, every right of the people of Gaza, especially their lives, has been recklessly destroyed by the occupying Israeli forces. As a result of Israel’s indiscriminate attacks, more than 18 thousand of our brothers and sisters in Gaza have been martyred.
