Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX and Twitter, is reportedly planning to build his own city in a region near the US state of Texas.
According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the city in question will be built in Bastrop County, near Austin.
It was claimed that the city, which is planned to be built in the area next to the Boring and SpaceX facilities under construction, will allow employees of Musk’s companies to move to new homes with below-market rental fees.
Texas law requires at least 201 people to live in the area before an application can be made for an area to be considered a city. This process is followed by approval from a district judge.
An official from Bastrop County said that no application has yet been received from Musk or any of the organizations he owns.
